Anderson Excavating is proud to have been honored for Exemplary Mine Safety Performance by the Mountaineer Guardian Awards.
Jacob Mapel, Jayson Myers, Gary Proden and Zach Loy (pictured) went to Charleston, West Virginia to accept the award on Anderson Excavating’s behalf. Jacob led the effort as the Project Engineer, in charge of overseeing all of Anderson’s mining jobs, and Jayson, Gary and Zach are exceptional Superintendents. We’d also like to thank Hillary Dean Strawser, our Director of E, H & S, for helping to make sure that everything is done properly and safely. Last but not least, we’d also like to thank all of our foremen and workers who are on the mining sites every day, for their tireless dedication and a job well-done.
The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training and the West Virginia Coal Association (Mining and Reclamation Association) established the Mountaineer Guardian Safety Awards Program in 1983 as a joint effort to promote safety in the coal fields of West Virginia. This special program gives recognition to mining workplaces where employees have accumulated qualifying amounts of production without experiencing a fatal accident. Mining Operations are divided into categories, based on the number of employees.
